Losing A Lifestyle

Lifestyle change.  Two simple words that when put together aren't that simple. The last seven weeks have been an adjustment.  Each day is still a struggle - easier but still a struggle.  This week I've found myself thinking about my journey so far and where I'm headed.  If I have any chance of reaching my... Why I Chose To Lose

(For reference, this post was originally typed end of May, beginning of June – just never published) May’s passing marks my one-month milestone on my journey.  Everyone looks at January as being the month of change, the beginning of a new year and a new you.  For me, May was my month of change. When... Continue Reading →

Lose it or lose it!

"On this day..." If you are a regular user of Facebook, this is a feature that is fairly well-known.  It creates a feed of statuses and events from your previous years.  It was two weeks ago that I happened to scroll through this feed and found pictures of myself from four years before.  At that... Just Four Words

There are times when you just do not know what to say.  I found myself in one of those situations awhile back.  Working in retail your daily life can be fairly routine.  Almost like clockwork, the same customers come in every day wanting the same order every time.  There is little deviation.  However, every once in a while, someone comes in that gives you a surprise.

The Book of Mormon

The best way to describe my experience with the Book of Mormon musical is that it wasn’t as bad as I was expecting but not as good as I had been led to believe.  With three Tony Awards (Best Musical, Best Book of a Musical, Best Original Score) and a Grammy Award (Best Musical Theater Album) among all the critical acclaim, I was prepared for this show to be quite the performance.  And in a way, I suppose it was...

My Life’s Tech – June 2013

I always find it interesting to see what devices and services people use on their daily lives.  So I thought I would share a little bit of what I use on a regular basis.  As the title suggests I will revisit this topic over time and see what changes, if any, there are in my daily usage.  Let us kick this off with the hardware in my life…
