Windows 8 has officially been released! I’ve been playing around with the Windows 8 Release Preview for some time now and have been waiting anxiously for the official release. Well, that time has finally come! Along with that was the much anticipated release of Microsoft’s Surface with Windows RT. My first impression is it is definitely a solid device that has potential. It doesn’t quite fit my work environment for what I’m looking for, but for many, I can see it working out quite well.
So, very quickly I just want to share with you a video clip I took while at the Microsoft Store in the Houston Galleria. You’ll have to excuse the video quality as I forgot to set the recording settings to 720p. This is by no means intended to be a review but just a short clip of me playing around with Windows 8 on a touch-enabled laptop. By the way, Windows 8 really does want to be touched! And it works beautifully, never mind all the naysayers out there!
